Biography
Felix Mendelssohn was a precocious musical talent. Aged twelve, he astonished the great writer Goethe with his keyboard technique. Three years later, his teacher Carl Zelter proclaimed him a ‘master’ and a member of the brotherhood of Bach, Haydn and Mozart.
