          Fahrenheit 451 is a dystopian novel published in 1953 by American author Ray Bradbury. It depicts a future American society that prohibits books, and firemen incinerate any discovered.

          The story is narrated from the perspective of Guy Montag, a fireman who becomes disenchanted with his function of censoring literature and obliterating information, ultimately resigning from his position and dedicating himself to conserving literary and cultural texts.
